Player Fees (or Subs) are made up of 2 parts; NZ Hockey Affiliation Fees; and Waikirikiri Hockey Club (WKK) Fees.
All Fees are collected via the PlayHQ portal and can only be collected once HNZ and CHA confirm their fee structure.
NZ Hockey Fee
NZ Hockey receives their fee directly from players during the signup process via PlayHQ. NZ Hockey mandates their registration fees before the season starts. As a guide, in 2025 the NZ hockey fee was $xx for senior players, $xx for youth players and junior players.
Waikirikiri Hockey Club Fees
Waikirikiri Hockey Club (WKK) receives our fee during the signup process via PlayHQ. Our fees are used to cover the cost of Canterbury Hockey Association (CHA) affiliation fee, CHA match fees, CHA (and other venues) turf hire and CHA turf replacement fee. As a guide, in 2025 our Fees are listed below, including the CHA component of our Fees which were $xx per player.

Waikirikiri Hockey Club is able to absorb some of the costs from NZH and CHA. This has only been possible due to our incredible sponsors and generous grants from various Community Trusts (xxx). The amazing sponsors and grants providers also mean that uniforms, goalie gear, balls, club functions etc are subsidised. Your Fees only cover some of CHA costs.
